Daniel lives between Naarm and Queanbeyan. His writing has been published in Meanjin, Griffith Review, Short Fiction, The Big Issue Fiction Edition, Island, Overland, Westerly, Voiceworks, Going Down Swinging, and elsewhere. He is currently working on his debut novel, Cusp, about adolescent grief and desire, supported by a Create NSW Grant and Roderick Centre Fellowship. A novel excerpt was recently shortlisted for the 2026 Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Writing. Daniel is a PhD candidate at La Trobe University, researching queerness, affect and literary style.
