Carl lives and writes on Wurundjeri land. He’s obsessed with Japanese novels, stone circles, Roman ruins, castles, 70s prog, 80s pop, new wave, twee, shoegaze and a bit of punk. He’ll also talk for hours about coffee and microbrewed beers. Did he mention he has ADHD? Carl’s work has appeared in StylusLit, Meanjin, Tokyo Poetry Journal, Southerly and anthologies including 100 Poets (Flying Islands), Oystercatcher One and Two (5 Islands Press) and Under the Same Moon: Fourth Australian Haiku Anthology (Forty South). His first book, Tarp Green Light, was published in the 2024 series of Flying Islands Pocket Poets.
