Every story begins before the first words are spoken—on wrinkled faces, book covers, digital thumbnails and wheat paste posters. So, what visual languages might precede our own stories? What do our receipts, polaroids, movie tickets, and fridge doodles say about who we are and what we know? How can we combine the paraphernalia of our lives to tell stories? 

Join writer and multidisciplinary creative Elena Hogan for this low-pressure introduction to collage as a vehicle for creative writing. Bring any materials you’re happy to cut and paste. Old books and magazines will be provided.
