Unfinished Business: Writing Memory, Place and Uncertainty
Within so many searing works of fiction, lies a sense of unfinished business. The stories, silences, and emotional residues that linger across generations, relationships, and landscapes. Drawing on Australian Gothic traditions, join prize-nominated writer Shannon Benton to explore memory as something unstable and shape-shifting, where ambiguity and atmosphere become powerful, creative tools. Experiment with fragments, uncertainty, and emotional truth, while considering how place, longing, and inherited narratives shape the stories we tell.
