EWF X Hate Mail

Jasmyn Ameti is a writer and editor based in Naarm. She is the co-editor of Hate Mail zine. She is a VCA drop-out who works in a glorified chicken shop. Her work is interested in performance, delusion and the mutable self.

Paula Campos is a writer, bookseller and student, in her last year studying English and Creative Writing at UNSW. She loves to read and write experimental stories with unlikable female narrator/s, Western Sydney settings and language that disrupt the English canon. Her first short story, “Palm trees, piercings, and a more lowkey, chill place to live,” was published in Voiceworks and won the inaugural Kat Muscat award. She is currently undertaking the Open Book internship with Giramondo Publishing and Hardie Grant (Ultimo Press and Pantera Press).

Jaala Hallett is a Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr poet and arts producer. Every now and then, she manages to form stanzas to relay her observations of the intimacies of life, and considers relationships with people, place, body and communities, as well as her Aboriginal identity and culture.

Laura lives and works on Wurundjeri land and is co-founder of the zine, Hate Mail. She writes like she has an itch she can’t scratch – a wonderment to her curiosity. Her words are like a stream of consciousness – much the same as getting a peak into her diary entries. She’s interested in the grandiose spectacle of modern life, relationships and how the internet always has an opinion on everything…and well, she does too.

Henry is a writer raised in Meanjin/Brisbane and currently based in Naarm/Melbourne. Graduating from the Victorian College of Arts with a Master’s of Screenwriting in 2026, he loves to write stories that are as funny as they are surreal, and has dreams of writing the next generation’s Napoleon Dynamite. Not really, but that would be awesome. Someone else should do that.

Lilly is an emerging writer from Naarm. She likes to write short stories about female friendships and mundane happenings and other things that make her feel alive.
