A massively successful springtime EWF, the record-breaking tenth anniversary Richell Prize for Emerging Writers, the return of Inside the Publishing House, and SO MANY MORE major happenings over 2024…

We’re closing up the office for the year, and what a big year it’s been for EWF!! Thanks to our awesome community for helping us make 2024 amazing including all those who attended EWF physically or online, the incredible artists we worked with this year, and our team; Jes Layton, Ruby-Rose Pivet-Marsh, Jess Zanoni, Henrietta Farnan, Megan Payne, our Guest Curator Mackenzie Lee, our Volunteer Coordinator Eric Butler, and all our awesome RMIT Volunteers.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t say a massive THANK-YOU to our outgoing Artistic Director of five years, Ruby-Rose Pivet-Marsh. Without Ruby’s stewardship through five festivals, important community-building efforts, different projects and initiatives, with many challenges and successes since 2019, EWF simply wouldn’t be where it is today! Please join us in wishing Ruby all the best for the future, once it comes time for Ruby to officially embark on the next adventure after welcoming the new Artistic Director in January! 💫💗
