Tayla Richardson is a poet, multidisciplinary artist and disability advocate based in Naarm. She creates to connect and untangle perceptions of ambiguous loss, hope and impermanence, drawing on her experience living with a rare neuromuscular condition. Tayla was a recent Australian Poetry Slam state finalist, won a University of Sydney art prize and was highly commended in the Writability and Varuna Writers Space Fellowships. Her work has featured in International Poetry Short Film Festivals, art exhibitions and can be found online with RUSSH magazine and forthcoming with Writers Victoria. She is writing a poetic memoir and developing a universally designed exhibition.
