Writers’ Salon: Diving Deep

Plumb the depths of character in this intensive workshop with author Deborah Pike, where you’ll learn what’s at stake in character depiction and how to research and define a personality using dialogue, description and action.

Explore character psychology, motivations, and the importance of a character arc, while thinking through some important questions about artistic practice, representation, and cultural sensitivity. Tinker with new techniques and walk away with the tools to create distinctive and convincing characters, who may just finish your story or book for you!
