‘Where Do You Get Your Ideas?’

It’s the question every writer must confront—where do you get your ideas? Every poem begins somewhere: an image, a dream, a memory, a question, or even an absence. This panel brings together three poets—Vuong Pham, Tayla Richardson, and Alex Partington—to explore how differently they cultivate their creative processes.

Hear how poetry can emerge from research, personal history, passion, and spontaneous insight, as well as the ‘slow burn’ of ideas that may take years to fully form.
