Alcoves & Workshop

Our Words Have Power

With the rise of fascism and dangerous narratives that threaten human rights, freedom of speech, and the right to protest, it’s vital that we continue to come together to flood society with stories, images and visions of hope and possibility.

In this workshop, create your own four-panel comic with artivist duo ‘Me<g/k>’, who will guide you through the East-Asian four-act narrative framework known as kishōtenketsu. Explore how literary subcultures have countered political and capitalist narratives for years, and learn to flip those narratives in small but powerful ways.

Friday 12 September, 12:00PM-2:00PM
