Chronicling Cultural Trash

Writers willing to roll up their sleeves and get dirty will find endless inspiration in the cultural trash heap.

Allow writer Tara Kenny to demonstrate how to mine and critically engage with “low brow” culture, such as reality TV, AI slop, TikTok trends, tabloid drama, YouTube conspiracies and internet detritus. Craft thoughtful, rigorous cultural analysis and criticism that illuminates what this often overlooked material reveals about our cultural moment.

For this workshop, please bring along a laptop or personal device, if you have one available.

Friday 12 September, 10AM-11:30AM
